Icey's Sorrow

My whimsy is one day late. My daughter Anna wanted me to do another poem on Icey the Bat, and how he wants to go home. So here it is. One more will come in the future.

Icey's Sorrow

Away from his world for many years,
Icey the Bat became homesick.
His tiny blue eyes cried frozen tears,
The ice king had made an edict,
He could never return to Cong.
Yet his little iced heart longed,
To hear those Congite native song.
Sorrow within his mind was thick
