Their gift to all who may pass by
We all have something to give

Barbera and Jardine Pass Away

As most of know cartoonist Joseph Barbera passed away yesterday. Along with William Hanna the two created a cast of characters that will live on for centuries. The Boomerang Channel shows their works 24 hours a day. Among my favorites are The Flintsones, Quick Draw McGraw and his sidekick burrow Baba Looey. My daughter and and nieces are big fans of Tom and Jerry.

Also this week another another one of my childhood heroes has passed away. Professional wrestler Don "The Spoiler" Jardine died the 16th of this month. January of this years, I posted an article about him on The Shamgar Report. It was titled “The Spoiler Turns to Poetry.” I remember, as a child, he briefly held the NWA North American Championship.

If you go to poetry.com, you can find his works under his name Don Jardine. For a full biography on Don "The Spoiler" Jardine go to Wikipedia.com. Jardine also enjoyed wood carving, sculpting, and was writing his autobiography at the time of his death.

Both men were part of my childhood, and influenced my creativity as a writer.

Election Day was very heart breaking. So I decided to take November off. For the month of December,only uplifting poems and stories will be posted. Poltical commentary will began again in January.
