Besides Jim Lendall running for Governor, the Arkansas Greens have a whole slate of state-wide candidates. They were unsuccessful in obtaining a candidate for Lt. Governor. Below is a list of all the Green Party Candidates.
Jim Lendall-Governor
Marty Scully-Secretary of State
Rebekah Kennedy-Attorney General
Michael Bolzenius-State Auditor
R. David Lewis-State Land Commissioner
Special Note: The Republican Party has no candidate for State Land Commissioner. So this will be a two-way race.
I will not vote for any of these candidates. Most of them will be lucky to get 4% of the vote. However I do support their right for ballot access. A great barrier has been broken.

Jim Lendall Obtains Ballot Access
Today the court ruled in Jim Lendall's favor. The former State Rep. from Mablevale will be on the ballot as the Green Party's candidate for Governor. Secretary of State Charlie Daniels and Attorney General Mike Beebe made all attempts to block Lendall's freedom of ballot access, and failed. The biggest looser is Beebe, the Democrat's candidate for Governor. Now there is a possiblity that the extreme liberals will now vote for Lendall. Also Beebe has to worry about Rod Bryan, an Inderpendent candidate for Governor, who is also an enviromentalist.
However Daniels and Beebe are not finished with their fight against Lendall and the Green Party. They have plans to appeal the judge's decision, but I doubt they will have any success. Even if Lendall is finally blocked from the ballot, extreme liberals and enviromntalist still have an opportunity to vote for Rod Bryan.
The Shamgar Report endorses no candidate for Governor, but does support the right for Jim Lendall and Rod Bryan's right to appear on the November ballot.

Gunner Delay for Attorney General
The Shamgar Report is now endorsing Gunner Delay for Arkansas' Attorney General. Mr. Gunner is a lawyer, former State Representative, and former State Senator. He also supports stiffer penalties on illegal immigration, and opposes any further tax burdens on the people of Arkansas.
On his website he states that he supports the 2 Amendment, but I could find nothing about his stance on abortion. When Republican Candidate for LT. Governor Jim Holt was in Crossett, a couple of week ago, he had a Delay sign on one of his vehicles. This convinced me that Delay deserves supporting. I know that Jim Holt would never support a pro-choice candidate.

Spending Time With Jim Holt
The week before last I had the opportunity to spend two days with State Senator Jim Holt, who is the Republican Candidate for Lt. Governor. Like most of those who are seeking public office, Holt had vehicle in the Crossett Rodeo Parade. The Crossett Rodeo is one the biggest in the state, which draws politicians like a magnet. However most of the office seekers left town once the parade was over. Jim Holt took the time to visit with many of the people in area.
One thing that impressed me about Senator Holt was that he took the time to really talk with everyone. He was not in a hurry. That really touched me. Over the years I have help many politicians, but Jim was the only one who embraced me, and prayed before he left. I truly hated to see him, his kids, and supporters drive away.
Jim Holt is not really a politician, I see him as a true missionary seeking to bring honesty and compassion back to our nation. The same desire that our founding fathers had.
Before the parade I also had a chance to meet Jim Lagrone, the Republican Candidate for Secretary of State. The Shamgar Report endorsed him some time back. He is also a Christian and a true Conservative. Just wished he would have stayed a bit longer in town.
