Arkansas Voters Should Vote No Twice On Dec. 13th

Arkansas voters will have a chance to vote for two bond proposals on December 13th. Question 1 is a measure that will give the Highway Commission the authority to raise 575 billion dollars in bonds, and will also give them the freedom to spend the money as they wish.

Question 2 is also a bond proposal for 250 billion that will go towards education. Like the Highway Commission, the Department of Education will be allowed to spend this money freely.

The Shamgar Report is against both measures. I feel that if both Questions 1 and 2 pass, government will automaticaly get bigger and more powerful. And when government gains power, problems and corruption go up. Plus one day,the taxpayers will have to pay both bonds off. Where we will get this money when it's time to pay the piper? Think About!

I was happy to see that the Constitution Party and State Senator Jim Holt also oppose both bond measures.

Voters in Californa's 48 Congressional District will also go to the polls on December 6th. There is a good chance that Constitution Party Candidate Jim Gilchrist will be elected to Congress. If so this will be the first major victory for the Constitution Party. Let's pray that he will win.

Thanksgiving and the Bible

When thinking about Thanksgiving and the Bible, Luke 17: 11-19 came to mind.In this passage Luke records the story where Jesus heals ten lepers. Nine were Jews and one was a Samaritan. All were healed, but only the Samaritan fell down to his knees and praised the Lord for being healed. He was truly thankful.

God blesses us everday, and most people dont think much about it. Most of us are like the other 9 lepers who were happy, but didn't take the time to be thankful. The Samaritan should be our example, not only to be thankful on Thanksgiving Day,but each and every day.

WWE Superstar Nick Dinsmore, also known as Eugene, has been suspended after failing a drug test. Eugene was taking Soma for back pains, and has agreed to enter rehab.I wish him the best and hope he will one day return to the squared circle. The fans will truly miss him.

Last week WWE Superstar Eddie Guerrero passed away in his hotel room. I had the privlage to see Eddies last match on Smackdown, and was hoping he would one day again hold the World Title.

In WCW, Guerrero held the Cruiserweight, and United States Championships. And held just about every title in the WWE, including the WWE Championship. To read Eddie's full biography, go to wikipedia.com

Kennedy and Nixon

A co-worker once told me he had read a book that dealt with the political struggles between Nixon and Kennedy. At that time I failed to ask him the title and the author of the book. But I have given the subject some thought. It does seem that the lives of these two men, and the people associated with them, crossed paths many times.

Below I have made a timeline based on the careers and tragedies of both men.

1913-Richard Nixon was born in Yarbo Linda California.

1917-John F. Kennedy was born in Brookline Massachusetts.

1940-Kennedy joins the Navy. Later became a Naval Officer and serves in the Pacific.

1941-Nixon became a Naval Officer and serves in the Pacific.

1946-Nixon and Kennedy are elected to the U.S. House of Represenatives.

1950-Nixon was elected U.S. Senator.

1952-Kennedy was elected U.S. Senator. Nixon becomes Vice President of the United States.

1956-Nixon was re-elected as Vice President. Kennedy lost a bid to become the Vice Presidential Candidate at the Democrat National Convention.

1960-Kennedy defeats Nixon and became the 35th President of the
United States. Mayor Daley of Chicago was accused of making a
corrupt bargain that lead to Nixon's defeat in Illinois. Kennedy won the popular vote by a narrow margin. Both men held a series of debates that would eventually lead to a new tradition Robert Kennedy became his brother's Attorney General.

1962-Nixon ran for Governor of California, and was defeated. He retired from politics. Ted Kennedy won his brother's U.S. Senate seat.

1963-President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas Texas. The Warren Commission declared that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, and was not part of any conspiracy. Gerald Ford was a member of this commission.

1964-Robert Kennedy charged Teamster Leader Jimmy Hoffa with fraud and jury tampering. Hoffa was found guilty and sent to prison.

1968-Robert Kennedy was running for President, but was assassinated while campaigning in California. Nixon came out of retirement and became the 37th President of the United States.

1969-Ted Kennedy’s accident at Chappiquiddick.

1971-Nixon pardons Hoffa.

1972- Nixon was re-elected by a landslide. The Kennedy's brother-in-law, Sergeant Shriver, was the Democratic Candidate for Vice President.

1973-Vice President Spiro Agnew was forced to resign, and replaced by Gerald Ford.

1974-Nixon resigned as a result of the Watergate Scandal. Ford became the 38th President of the United States and gave Nixon a full pardon.

1975-Hoffa disappeared and was never seen again.

1976-Ford lost his bid for a full four-year term.

1980- Ted Kennedy attempted to get the Democratic Nomination for President, but was unsuccessful. Chappiquiddick will forever be the albatross around his neck.

1994-Nixon dies.

Soon I will have another update on Drew Pritt campaign for Lt. Governor.

Bush Gives Traitor Presidental Medal of Freedom

President Bush has awarded, Former Boxing Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Ali the Presidental Medal of Freedom. This honor is a personal insult to every boy and girl who is serving in the Armed Forces. And it shows that the President has no respect for our soilders in Iraq.

Before Ali received his draft notice, his name was Cassius Clay. Instead of serving his country, he threw away his own identity , and choose a Muslim name. At the time he was World Champion but was stripped of his title. Yet four decades later Ali is honored as if he were a great American.

In my opinion Ali is not a great American. He is a traitor just like Benedict Arnold. Yet he is given a honor as if he is a patriot like Audie Murphy. If Bush wanted to honor a celebraty, he could have made a better choice than Ali. For example, Elvis Presley received his draft notice when he was a superstar. Presley did not try to use his money to get out of it. He was proud to serve his contry. In my opinon Elvis Presley deserves more honors than Muhammad Ali.

In yesterday's elections, there were no gains or losses for the Democrats or Republicans. Both parties held on to what they had. Republican Mayor Mike Bloomberg of New York was re-elected. Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Corzine was elected Governor of New Jersy. And Democatic Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine was elected Governor of Virgina. Both seats are now held by Democrats.

This proves that voters see that there is no real difference in the two major paries.
If so, one party would have had a major victory. But each held its own because voters in most states do not have a third choice.
